Gotchi
Built-in tools

Give your AI hands, not just words

Gotchi ships with a powerful toolkit that lets models interact with your system, the web, and external services - all running locally.

Core tools

Everything your AI needs to act

Out of the box, Gotchi gives models the ability to do real work on your behalf.

Web browsing

Models can fetch web pages, extract content, and follow links. Research topics, check documentation, or monitor pages - all from a prompt.

Shell commands

Execute terminal commands directly from AI workflows. Run scripts, manage files, query databases, or interact with local services.

File operations

Read, write, and transform files on your machine. Parse CSVs, generate reports, process images, or organize documents automatically.

API calls

Make HTTP requests to any API - REST, GraphQL, or webhooks. Authenticate with headers, manage payloads, and parse responses.

Web search

Search the internet and feed results into the conversation context. Ground model responses in fresh, real-world information.

Code execution

Run Python, JavaScript, and shell scripts in a sandboxed environment. Let models write, test, and iterate on code autonomously.

How it works

Functions your AI can call

When a model decides it needs to take an action - fetch a URL, read a file, run a command - it emits a tool call. Gotchi intercepts the call, executes it locally, and feeds the result back into the conversation. The model then continues reasoning with the new information. It's function calling, but everything stays on your machine.

4Result returned
Everything runs on your machine
Safety

You approve, the AI executes

Every tool call can require your explicit approval before execution. Set per-tool policies: auto-approve safe reads, prompt for writes, block destructive commands. You stay in control of what your AI can touch, with a full audit log of every action taken.

Specialized capabilities

Headless browser

Navigate dynamic web apps, fill forms, click buttons, and extract data from JavaScript-rendered pages. Full browser automation from a prompt.

Document parsing

Extract text from PDFs, DOCX, XLSX, and other document formats. Feed structured content into your AI workflows for analysis.

Workspace indexing

Point Gotchi at a folder and it indexes every file for instant retrieval. Ask questions about codebases, research folders, or project directories.

Let your AI do the work

Download Gotchi and unlock tools that turn conversation into action - locally and privately.
